After your tattoo session your artist will cover your new tattoo with cling film.

With clean hands and clean environment remove cling wrap

and wash with antibacterial non-scented liquid soap with warm running water

within 1-2 hours of your tattoo session.

(DO NOT use a soap bar, wash cloth, sponge or submerge in bath)

After showering gently pat dry the fresh tattoo with a clean towel or paper towel.

You do not need to use aftercare product on the first night.

Always wash your hands before applying cream or touching your new tattoo.

For the first night you may re-wrap it in cling film to prevent sticking to bedsheets.
Make sure your bedsheets and blankets are clean.

After the first night, begin gently applying small amount (thin layer)

of aftercare product 3-4 times a day after washing the tattoo.

(DO NOT leave a thick amount of aftercare product on the surface of the tattoo.)

Repeat this process for the next 2 weeks.

Around day 4-5 your tattoo will start flake away dead skin.

This is a normal part of the healing process.

Itching is also normal and you can use aftercare product

to relieve the sensation of scratching the tattoo.

Allow the dead skin to fall away naturally.

(DO NOT pick or scratch the tattoo as it is healing.)

Your new tattoo is an open wound. Keep it out of direct sunlight,

avoid swimming and submerging in salt and chlorinated water for 4 to 6 weeks.

Avoid chemicals including perfumes, make up & fake tan, animals and dirty environments.

Wash the tattoo immediately if it becomes dirty for any reason

(eg from sweat, being outdoors, dirty work environment or coming into contact with animals.)

Always wear clean clothes over your new tattoo. Avoid close fitting clothing or clothes that rub on the tattoo.

After 2 weeks your tattoo should be completely healed.

Healing times can vary from person to person dependent on age and health.

Moisturise and use sunscreen regularly to protect the tattoo to avoid fading.

Discontinue use of any aftercare product if irritation occurs.

Please follow all instructions given to you by your artist, failing to do so may lead to a poor heal or an infection

If you experience what you feel is not part of the normal healing process or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your artist.
